What is the Qin Dynasty
With the establishment of the Qin Dynasty (秦朝Qin Cháo) (211 BC to 207 BC) marked a new Chinese era. The plurality of states of the Eastern Zhou was established by a centrally administered empire that lasted more than two thousand years from 221 BC. Chr. Until 1911 was replaced.
First imperial dynasty
With the conquest of the six other states by the land of Qin, a unified empire emerged under the first emperor of China Qin Shihuangdi, the former Qin king Zheng. For the first time, the entire area settled by Chinese was united under one crown. This marked the climax of a development that had been going on for several centuries and set one of the most important events in Chinese history. The real architect of this empire is Li Si, the chancellor of Qin Shihuangdi.
In the few years that the Qin dynasty lasted, the basic features of the Chinese state system emerged with the creation of an official state, the imperial bureaucracy for the systematic recording of the population and lands for purposes of taxation, and the Great Wall. Today's division into provinces and districts is still similar to the prefectures of that time. The use of measurements, writing and currency were standardized for the entire empire. Even today, the division into provinces and districts is similar to the prefectures of that time. Last but not least, the name China is said to be derived from the word Qin.
End of the Qin Dynasty
The death of the first emperor Qin Shihuangdi in 210 BC. BC also marks the beginning of the downfall of the short-lived Qin Dynasty. Despite its military strength, the country fell victim to civil wars as a result of which the Han dynasty was founded by Liu Bang.
The Qin dynasty went down in Chinese history as a barbaric and militaristic period and was long considered a typical example of totalitarianism in the West. In the past few decades, however, the evaluation of archaeological finds has drawn a somewhat more balanced picture of this important period.
In addition to the Great wall is also the world famous Terracotta Army silent witness of the time.
