Twitter also removed the video of the incumbent US president. Trump turned to his followers in the clip and said:

I know your pain, I know you're hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide election and everyone knows it, especially the other side. But you have to go home now ... This was a fraudulent election, but we can't play into the hands of these people. We have to have peace. So go home. We love you, you're very special.

He continued to claim that the Democrats had rigged the US presidential election last year. According to the social media platform, this violates the guidelines on the integrity of civic processes. At first, Twitter only blocked the ability to interact with the post and later removed the clip entirely. Since the social platform had to block three more tweets from the US president within a short period of time and the president repeatedly violated the rules prevailing in the social network, his account was completely frozen for twelve hours.

Twitter also instructed Donald Trump to delete several of his tweets. If the US president does not comply with this request, he will no longer be able to post on the platform in the future.

This means that the account of @realDonaldTrump will be locked for 12 hours following the removal of these Tweets. If the Tweets are not removed, the account will remain locked.

Snapchat and Instagram are also freezing the US President's accounts
