Drug intake by tablet or drops is not possible for everyone affected. Therefore, plasters containing active ingredients can be an alternative.

Therapeutic, transdermal patches, against pain, for the treatment of Parkinson's, as hormone therapy, for smoking cessation and much more. Diagnostic patch for observation in diabetes mellitus. Sensor patch as an EKG patch. And physically acting plasters such as warming plasters without active ingredients, arthro plasters or kinesio tapes. Not to forget the intelligent wound care.

The patches channel the active ingredient over the skin to the site of action up to three days after it is first attached.

Bathing, showering or exercising are unproblematic with most patches. Therapy is often easier, it leads to better compliance and, above all, relieves people with chronic diseases.

For this reason, smart patches are very popular and are increasingly being prescribed by the doctor. MFA must fill out appropriate prescriptions and have advice ready.

Due to the variety of patches, there is a high risk of confusion with other types of patches for patients and those affected.

  • ... you know whether these plasters can be cut.
  • ... you can give patients advice on use and disposal.
