"I can really recommend crocheting as a hobby because you can easily put the work you have started in a handbag or a small bag of any kind and take it with you to continue at work or at another location."

"You can do it at your own pace, and when you're done you can frame it or start a new one. That feeling of completing a puzzle is a hell of a good feeling."
3. Bead embroidery
"It's time-consuming, but absolutely fulfilling. You can really get lost in your creation. I have a boring office job and working with the pearls lets me live out my artistic, creative side. There are many tutorials on YouTube as well as inspiration on Pinterest. There are great artists on Instagram too. It's a wonderful hobby. You can do it at home or anywhere else. Just pack your pearls and go wherever you want! "

"Yoga is an interesting hobby for anyone who wants to exercise. It gives you a new occupation, doing a little sport and relaxing at the same time."
5. Bargain hunting
"It saves a lot of money and I can do it with my daughter. I suffer from depression and the search for bargains, discounts and free products forces me to leave the house when all I want to do is stay in bed and not have a drive And if there is an apocalypse at some point, you'll definitely have enough tissues, paper towels and cleaning supplies. "It's free (okay, you need a smartphone and a pen, but you probably already have that) and it's a great way to explore your neighborhood, region, city ... or discover beautiful places in your travel destination that are otherwise easily overlooked. It's especially good for those who can't really motivate themselves to go out or who find simple walks boring - with geocaching you have a goal - and a good reason to get your ass up. "
7. Review films
"It may not look like a hobby, but I love going to the movies and writing a review afterwards. Since I have panic attacks, movies are a great way to distract me. I always take a long drive afterwards, to reflect on what I've just seen. I take notes on the movie and upload videos of my reviews. I think there are only three people who watch it, but I just enjoy doing it for myself. "
8. Make soap and other cosmetics
"Manufacture shampoo, soap, lotions and other cosmetics and beauty products. Then you no longer have to buy plastic. And making things yourself just sucks!"

"I really like to set up and maintain aquariums. It's just fun creating your underwater landscape and growing the aquatic plants until everything is ready for the fish. It sometimes takes me months for a single tank and it can with all the water treatments , Fertilizers, lighting, filters, heaters, etc. can be a LOT at once ... but once you've got it, it's really fun.
"It's expensive to start with, but it's very inexpensive to maintain. Watching the fish is very relaxing and it's really cool when you can do it so well that they start to reproduce. It's a nice hobby, but it requires it Definitely commitment once you've started. It's not one of those hobbies where you can just take a break because your fish will die if you get too lazy. "
"You don't need much! To start with, all you need is a sunny window sill, a small container with soil and a few seeds. Sturdy plants like basil and other herbs are good to start with - and you can harvest them when they are fully grown. I highly recommend it if you like logic puzzles or if you're a bit of a control freak like me (es It's nice that a thing does exactly what I tell it to do!) The beginning is actually pretty easy and you can learn for free thanks to the CodeCademy! If you google for opportunities to learn programming, you will also find a lot of hits. "I started baking when I was stressed while studying for oral exams - and now almost every bread I eat is self-baked (not to mention desserts!). It doesn't require a huge upfront investment, is nice and tangible and creative and makes sure that you can share something delicious with others (or, you know, just eat it yourself). "
"It's fun, and there are plenty of blogs and YouTube tutorials to get you started. You can also make your own greeting cards, signs, and more."

"I built my own costume from the ground up. With cosplay, you can basically dress up as anything that interests you. With my costume, I had to learn new sewing techniques and find out how to do some other things (like hiding one Sewing a bag or building a mini computer fan that runs on a battery!) If ever I got bored I could google how to do the next step and get lots of new ideas. I was always looking for fun, cheap additions to my cosplay that would help bring out the character of the costume. Not to mention that going to a cosplay convention was amazing! I made so many friends and asked for tons of photos. Even though you can't go to conventions, public cosplaying can be a lot of fun too! "

"There are so many approaches to this hobby and so many genres that suit the interests of literally anyone. Many hobbies can get expensive, but they don't have to cost anything if you use the local library. You don't have the time to Reading? Pick an audiobook and listen to it while you do other things. With no space to store the books? Go for e-books. Reading is such a relaxing hobby, you can take it with you anywhere, and it is the cheapest way to see the whole world. "
