Jung Hoseok (Hangul: 정호석) was born on February 18, 1994 in Geangju (South Korea). He goes by the stage name J-Hope. Jung Hoseok is a rapper, dancer, songwriter and music producer. He has an older sister (Jung Dawon). J-Hope is a member of the South Korean boy group BTS, which debuted under Big Hit Entertainment (since 2021 Big Hit Music under HYBE) in 2013. He is often involved as a songwriter and producer on the BTS songs. J-Hope is a dancer and rapper at BTS.

Before joining BTS, he was a member of the Neuron dance company. J-Hope was also relatively well known in the underground scene and won several local awards.
