Boruto will surpass Naruto

Boruto's Power Levels, Jutsu & Strength - Will It Surpass Naruto?

Boruto succeeded Naruto; However, it has not yet surpassed it.

With the release of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, we plunge back into the world of Naruto and follow the lives of our favorite characters and their children.

As the main character, Boruto has one of the most steady developments in the series, and its growth is extremely gratifying to watch.

While Naruto had sealed the Nine Tails in himself, Boruto woke a special eye named Jougan and received karma from an Otsutsuki himself.

While both father and son share similar sources of energy and are related in many ways, Boruto ends up being the main character.

This means it will soon outshine Naruto, and we have already seen traces of it.

As fans see Naruto get weaker and less meaningful as the series progresses, they wonder if Boruto will surpass Naruto and break the old legends.

Will Boruto outperform Naruto?

Boruto Uzumaki will surely surpass his father, the 7th Hokage Naruto Uzumaki, at the end of the series, as Naruto himself stated that "the younger generation must surpass the older generation".

As usual with any series, the story of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations has evolved in favor of the strength of its protagonist, i.e. Boruto Uzumaki.

Time and again it has been stated and affirmed that Kid Boruto is stronger than Naruto when he was his age.

Sure, Naruto had massive chakra reserves and could create thousands of shadow clones, but Boruto was able to manipulate three chakra natures at the age of 13.

While still in the ninja academy, Kakashi rated Boruto's skills at the chunin level after his near-successful attempt to take away a silver bell.

In addition, as Naruto and Hinata's son, Boruto comes from two powerful bloodlines and has inherited many abilities such as: B. Shadow Clone, Rasengan, and Gentle Fist.

As Sasuke continues to train him along the way, he has literally some of the greatest Shinobis of all time as his mentors.

Along with his unique dojutsu, jougan, and the karma sign, Borutp will no doubt surpass his father Naruto to become one of the greatest shinobi of all time. After all, the new generation will always surpass the old.

Boruto's powers and abilities

I. Rasengan

After extensive practice, Boruto learned how to deal with Rasengan from Konohamaru Sarutobi.

In the beginning he could only create a small turfgan with both hands; Ultimately, however, he demonstrated the ability to create a full-size one.

During the first creation of the Rasengan, he unconsciously applied wind natural chakra and made it his greatest technique.

When you let go, the transformation of nature is abruptly activated, made invisible and the opponent is made to let go of his guard. Because of this, the turf organ does sufficient damage to the target on impact.

II. Byakugan

Thanks to his mother, Hinata, Boruto cannot use Byakugan despite having a Hyuga bloodline.

While Boruto currently doesn't have a Byakugan, He unconsciously awakened a dojutsu in his right eye named Jougan.

It gives him the ability to see things like chakras that are generally invisible to a normal eye and locate the weak spots on a target's body.

This dojutsu can perceive chakras flow so that Boruto can see the visible changes in his own chakra and also pursue a goal through it.

It can also determine the key point of the chakra path system and transparent invisible barriers that connect between dimensions.

III. Chidori

Boruto cannot use Chidori because of its lack of sharingan. However, he can use a watered down version of it that he learned from Kakashi.

Boruto has always been very skilled with electricity, and to make it even better, Kakashi is the best teacher.

In Sasuke Shinden, the latest spin-off novel to follow Sasuke while spending time at the Hidden Leaf, it was stated that Boruto could use purple electricity.

Boruto learned how to use purple electricity from Kakashi, who developed this smaller form of chidori after losing his sharingan.

IV. Sage mode

Boruto has not learned and currently cannot use Sage Mode. As Naruto's son, however, it is entirely possible for him to train hard in Ryuchi Cave and learn to do so as the series progresses.

Boruto has already had contact with this ability with Naruto and his teammate Mitsuki, who is able to activate Wise Mode. Although he doesn't have to learn since he already has karma, no one will complain if he does.

V. Gentle fist

Boruto has been training from a young age and it shows in his nimble actions despite his carefree demeanor. He is noticeably quick and can secretly quickly get behind his opponents.

He showed a talent for taijutsu even before joining the academy while joking with his father. In the academy he was able to hold his own against Iwabee, an older student.

All of this shows that he knows his way around hand-to-hand combat, that is, Taijutsu; However, the absence of Byakugan means that he cannot take full advantage of his Hyuga legacy.

Boruto can use Gentle Fist even though he doesn't own Byakugan. It's a scaled-down version of it, however, and Boruto can only perfect Gentle Fist if he wakes his Byakugan or manages to use Jougan to make up for it.

VI. Flying Raijin

Boruto cannot use Flying Raijin. However, he will likely learn later.

Unlike Naruto, Boruto doesn't have the prodigious amounts of chakra to rely on, and instead of raw strength, he's always been one who prioritized speed.

Flying Raijin, created by his grandfather Minato Namikaze, could be exactly what Boruto needs right now.

Whether he learns or not depends on his search for a suitable teacher. However, there are almost no Shinobis that can use it on the show.
