Wine details

An Italian red wine for everyday life with a fantastic price / benefit ratio:

Intense ruby red. Fragrant with lively, youthful cherry fruit, which also dominates the palate, backed by a fine spice. Very balanced in the aftertaste with round, almost "sweet" tannins, it encourages another sip.
The basis for this fruity red wine are the young vines of the three renowned wineries owned by Elisabetta Gnudi in Tuscany: Borgo Scopeto in Chianti Classico, Caparzo in Montalcino and Doga delle Clavule in Maremma. Elisabetta Gnudis gifted winemaker, Massimo Bracalente. He presses it into a charming Sangiovese for every day, which has become our customers' favorite wine.

This wine goes well with your evening on the sofa or a rustic snack with Italian salami and ham as well as hearty stews and wild boar ragout.

The Caparzo winery is one of the largest and most renowned Brunello producers. In 1998 Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini took over the winery and equipped it with a new underground cellar, which is one of the most modern in the region. The gifted oenologist Massimo Bracalente has been responsible for winemaking since 1997. He was born and raised in Montalcino. He knows his way around. His reputation as a master of Sangiovese extends far beyond the borders of Montalcino. Under his leadership, the reputation of the Caparzo winery was built up and consolidated. With the brand 'I Cipressi del Casato' he vinifies the base wines at moderate prices with fantastic quality. Also a Rosso di Montalcino ‘I Cipressi del Casato’ and a Brunello di Montalcino ‘I Cipressi del Casato’.
