What are some of the best kept prison secrets

Lonely Planet Children's Guide Come to Paris (Lonely Planet Kids)

My opinion
Paris is more than the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and Versailles. This children's travel guide shows this very well.

My daughter wishes to go on vacation to Paris. After a long search, we ended up with this one so that the children can also take back good memories from the trip.

The table of contents shows a map of Paris and tips according to subject areas, such as sniffing Paris, highlights, wild animals in Paris, ghostly and gruesomely unmoved.

If you want to search for specific locations, you can use the 3-page register at the end of the book.

The author has put together a nice mix for younger and older children. But adults can also take a lot with them and learn a lot here. So you learn a lot ... more

The author has put together a nice mix for younger and older children. But adults can also take a lot with them and learn a lot here. You can learn a lot about the many Parisian bridges, the romantic side of Paris such as the “Je-T’aime Wall”, the Musée de la vie Romantique and the love locks on Pont des Arts.

The Olympic Games are also mentioned, the underground in Paris, the zoo, the many museums and artistic places as well as the famous Père Lachaise cemetery and the magic in Paris.

But now I also know that comics are so popular in France that France ranks third in the world in comic book sales.

All this information (and much more) is presented in a child-friendly way with bright colors and lots of pictures. In short and concise texts including a few facts you learn the most important things peppered with nice or even bizarre stories and anecdotes. I had great reading fun on this discovery tour through Paris and am now looking forward to exploring some points in real Paris on site.

Conclusion
If you want to prepare your children or yourself for a vacation in Paris in advance, you won't go wrong with this travel guide. But it can also be read just like that to find out some information about Paris, which can then be deepened as you wish through the Internet or other literature. Nicely designed, entertaining and interesting. Highly recommended!
