It made sense to Oskar that his father's death - and the mysterious key he found in his father's closet - would be the last and greatest task his father would send him.
In his tireless search across town for his father's last message, Oskar discovers many truths about his grandparents, about his mother and about the loss of his father.
The lesson: Sometimes the hardest part of finding answers to tragedy is when you accept that some things have no answers.
Imagine an ordinary guy - an auto mechanic as usual - is struck by an unusual light from the sky and begins to develop paranormal powers. This is exactly what happened to George Malley (John Travolta) in this 1996 drama.
George's first "powers" are extraordinary intelligence. Then he discovers that he can only move objects with his mind. After showing off his newfound powers at the town bar, George becomes the talk of the town. If the news gets out, even the government will be interested in George and his special abilities.
Unfortunately with these powers comes an unnerving revelation from his doctor (Robert Duvall) that he has a brain tumor. This revelation sets George on a new path: one in which he searches for more important things in life, like love.
