Have you ever met god

John 14
Hope for all

No one comes to God without Jesus

14 "Do not be dismayed and do not be afraid!" Jesus encouraged his disciples. “Believe in God and believe in me! Because there are many apartments in my father's house. Otherwise I would not have told you: I am going there to prepare everything for you. And when everything is ready, I'll come back to bring you to my place. Then you too will be where I am. You know the way there. "

“No, sir,” contradicted Thomas, “we don't even know where you're going! How are we supposed to find our way there then? " Jesus replied: “I am the way, I am the truth and I am the life! Nobody can come to the Father without me. If you really know me, you will also know my father. Yes, you already know him and have already seen him! "

Then Philip asked: "Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied!" Jesus replied: “I've been with you for so long and you still don't know me, Philip? Anyone who has seen me has also seen my father. So how can you ask, 'Show us the Father'? 10 Don't you think that I am in the Father and that the Father is in me? What I am telling you I did not make up myself. My father who lives in me acts through me. 11 Believe me that my father and I are one[a]. And if you don't believe my words, then at least let my actions convince you!

12 I tell you the truth: whoever believes in me will do the same deeds as I do - even greater ones; because I am going to the father. 13 Whatever you will ask for in my name, I will do so that through the Son the glory of the Father may be seen. 14 So whatever you will ask me on my behalf, I will do that. "

From the spirit of truth

15 “If you love me, you will live as I have commanded you. 16 Then I will ask the Father to give you another helper in my place who will stay with you forever. 17 This is the spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him because it is blind to him and does not recognize him. But you know him because he stays with you and will live in you.

18 No, I will not leave you helpless orphans. I will come back to you. 19 Soon I'll be out of this world and nobody will see me anymore. Only you, you will see me. And because I live, you will live too. 20 In that day you will see that I am one with my Father[b] and that you are in me and I am in you. 21 Whoever accepts my commandments and lives them really loves me. And whoever loves me, my father will love him. I too will love him and reveal myself to him. "

22 Then Judas asked him - not Judas Iscariot, but the other disciple with the same name: "Lord, why do you want to reveal yourself to us, your disciples, and why not to the whole world?" 23 Jesus answered him: “Those who love me are guided by what I have said. My father will love him too, and we will both come to him and stay with him forever. 24 But if you don't love me, you don't live by what I say. My words do not come from me, but from my Father who sent me.

25 I am telling you all of this while I am still with you. 26 The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send as a helper in my place, will explain everything to you and remind you of what I have said.

27 Even if I am no longer there, peace will remain with you. Yes, I give you my peace - a peace that no one else in the world can give you. Therefore do not be dismayed and do not be afraid!

28 You heard what I told you: I am going now, but I will come back to you. If you really loved me, you would be happy that I am going to the Father now; because he's bigger than me. 29 I'm telling you all of this before it happens so that you will believe in me when it happens. 30 I don't have much time to talk to you, because the devil, the ruler of this world, is already on his way. Although he has no power over me, 31 but I want the world to know that I love my father. Therefore, I will do what God has told me to do.

And now get up, we want to go! "
