1. "Aum" or "Om"

Means depending on: it is, will be or will become. The "OM" mantra is considered the most sacred and is probably also the most frequently used mantra. Om is a Sanskrit word meant to convey the "original vibration of manifestation". In other words, it should convey the intention manifested on the physical plane.

It is just a word that no one has difficulty with despite their possible different spiritual preferences. It has an incredibly calming sound, especially when you let the vibration linger in your throat. You can literally feel your body vibrate when you repeat this mantra a few times!

It is said that the true meaning of Om can only be understood through revelation. That means you have to say it in order to understand it. For starters, you can focus on the silence out of which the Om arises and into which it dissolves. 2. "Ham-Sah"

The Hindu variant means: I am THAT. This reminds us that we are observers and thereby helps us to distance ourselves from our human experiences and sufferings.

3. "Aham Prema."

Importance: "I am divine love."

4. "Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti."

Importance: "Peace in body, mind and soul."

5. "Om Tat Sat."

Importance: "Everything that is."

6. "Namo AmitaBha"

Importance: Honor the Buddha of Immeasurable Light.

7. "I am who I am"

This is one of the most famous lines from the Hebrew Torah. It was God's answer to Moses when he asked for his name.

8. “I love you; I am sorry; Please forgive me; Thanks"

This is the ancient Hawaiian mantra practice known as Ho’oponopono. According to the Hawaiian worldview, it means: "The exercise of forgiveness and reconciliation and the purification of" wrong thoughts "- the source of problems and diseases in the physical world".

Sri Sri suggests meditating on each sentence in turn. Meditate for a few minutes per sentence and allow your body and mind to immerse yourself in each sentence.

"Love"

Saying the word "love" while focusing on the feeling of love is a powerful way to create an atmosphere of love. Focus on the physical feeling you get about the word "love". It's such a great feeling! Even if you are depressed, angry, or upset, you can literally feel love pour over you when you repeat the word. Feel how love radiates outward from your heart ...

"I am"

That is the most powerful manifesting mantra. Think about it for a moment. Whenever you say, "I'm sick," how are you? Whenever you say, "I am happy," how do you feel? In meditation, you can use "I am" alone to honor and appreciate your existence. And you can even go a step further and honor and acknowledge your divinity and your oneness with all that is.

You can also add positive affirmations during meditation to get a mental picture of what you want in life. For example, "I am a successful ... (what you would like to be)" and so on.

The ancient Hindus started this practice first, but the use of mantras in meditation has since spread among Buddhists, Taoists, Sikhs, and others, especially in the Far East. Spiritual persons from western cultures also create mantras these days.

Many of them seem more like affirmations, but the mantras, which are short and sweet, still achieve that all-important transformative effect.

Mantra Meditation: 3 traditional Buddhist mantras for mindfulness, presence and power.

The very first mantras were used by Hindus in India over 3,000 years ago. A few centuries later, after Buddhism began to flourish, mantras were also incorporated into its spiritual practice.

Buddhist mantras are based on the sacred teachings of the Buddha and the Bodhisattvas.

Here are three traditional Buddhist mantrasthat you may never have heard of before:

1. "Om Mani Padme Hum"

It comes from Tibet and roughly translated means "Hail to the jewel in the lotus".

The jewel in this context is the Buddha of Compassion. This mantra is used in Tibetan Buddhism.

This is a compassionate mantra. One should strive for empathy for oneself and others and pass it on.

2. "Om Muni Muni Mahamuni Shakyamuniye Svaha."

That means: “I call the universal sound, the Buddha-nature and the wise, the wise of the Shakyans. Hail to you!"

It's also called the Shakyamuni mantra known and is intended to promote the development of what Buddhists call Buddha-nature or the search for enlightenment.

3. "Om Vasudhare Svaha. "

Known as the Buddhist money mantra, it is the prayer to the Bodhisattva of the earth and abundance, Vasudhara. In Buddhism, Vasudhara embodies the female spirit and is the counterpart to the Hindu goddess Lakshmi.

It is said that Om is the sound of the universe. This single syllable encompasses the cycle of death and rebirth. When you sing the word Om, you align your energy with the universe.

And Shanti? Well, the word Shanti comes from Sanskrit and means "peace". Together, Om Shanti means: Universal Peace.
