Times square

Times Square is sometimes referred to as the center of the world. Nowhere else do so many different cultures come together in one place. Times Square is at the intersection of 7th Avenue and Broadway. Broadway has been closed to traffic between 42nd and 47th Streets since 2009, so tourists can stroll comfortably. There is plenty of seating to relax and watch the goings on. Especially in the evening when it gets dark, the huge, glowing billboards dominate Times Square. You can't come back from your New York vacation without visiting Times Square!

Empire State Building

The Empire State Building, with its 103 floors and a height of 443 meters, was once the tallest building in New York. This honor is now due to the One World Trade Center. The Empire State Building was completed in 1931 and was the tallest building until it was replaced by the Twin Towers in 1972. After the attacks on the twin towers, the Empire State Building was again the tallest building in the city for a short time.
